March Inn

Why"March Inn?" March Inn was the name of that magic place where I spent my summers growing up. I have alluded to this place before, and I probably will again. March Inn is no longer standing. The waters of Katrina rendered it unlivable so my children will never know that "March Inn." That makes me sad. In fact it brings me to tears whenever I think about it. I want my children to have their own "March Inn," and I want to capture our lives as they are growing and changing. I invite you to "march inn" to our lives. My hope is that you will catch glimpses of the real world. You will see our creations. You will see our chaos. You will see our affection. You will also see our frustrations, fears, and disappointments. Enjoy your march!

The way to a young boys heart

I think you need a Stephen update ~

I will begin with some pictures and commentary of Stephen's adventures over the last week...

As I told you Stephen had the opportunity to accompany Frank to Dallas. I also told you he wanted to wear his flight jacket. What I didn't tell you was that on the returning leg of the trip, the pilot spotted Stephen's flight jacket and invited him to the cockpit prior to take off. Stephen spent about ten minutes "driving" the plane and investigating all of the knobs, buttons, and levers. Kudos to this pilot particularly in the security environment of our days.

Last Friday the boys, Betsy, and I took advantage of our zoo membership and went to get a sneak peak at one of the new elephants. We waited until the presentation was over and the crowd thinned so Stephen could go sit and watch. There is no telling how long he could have watched.

Stephen is truly loving the construction of our house. He would live down there now if we would let him. With each trip we take to the house he gathers his own tools just in case there is something he can help with.
In many ways, Stephen is probably a typical second child.
He is also all boy though he has a giving heart.
He is outgoing though reflective and extremely observant.
He is tender though has a temper that brings me to my knees.
He is adventurism and courageous though responsible in what he does.
Okay, I guess he is responsible most of the time...on Monday as I was unloading the dishwasher he noticed this hole and just couldn't resist putting his finger in it. I guess he just wanted to see what would happen or where the hole went. Well, his finger got stuck to the point we had to use soap to remove it.
I guess I should add curious to the list!

Stephen, thank you for being you! I am so thankful God blessed us with you! I love you!

Philippians 1: 3-6
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
