March Inn

Why"March Inn?" March Inn was the name of that magic place where I spent my summers growing up. I have alluded to this place before, and I probably will again. March Inn is no longer standing. The waters of Katrina rendered it unlivable so my children will never know that "March Inn." That makes me sad. In fact it brings me to tears whenever I think about it. I want my children to have their own "March Inn," and I want to capture our lives as they are growing and changing. I invite you to "march inn" to our lives. My hope is that you will catch glimpses of the real world. You will see our creations. You will see our chaos. You will see our affection. You will also see our frustrations, fears, and disappointments. Enjoy your march!

I Might Change My Tune

I used to say that the worst thing about the stomach bug was the laundry.  I think that is because inevitably my children are struck by the bug in their beds.  At least bedding can be washed!

I've heard others say they dread who is going to be struck next.  Hopefully, most of my children are old enough to communicate that something feels funny, and we can get where we need to be.
Last night, I changed my tune and felt that the worst thing about the stomach bug is that your child's lovey is inevitably tainted and must be washed.  {Truth be told ~ It needed washing anyway!}
After her third bath and third set of pajamas for the evening, while headed to her third bed, she sure was happy to see her Lovely.  She even let out a little giggle as I pulled it out of the washer.  No it didn't even get to the dryer.  She didn't care!
