March Inn

Why"March Inn?" March Inn was the name of that magic place where I spent my summers growing up. I have alluded to this place before, and I probably will again. March Inn is no longer standing. The waters of Katrina rendered it unlivable so my children will never know that "March Inn." That makes me sad. In fact it brings me to tears whenever I think about it. I want my children to have their own "March Inn," and I want to capture our lives as they are growing and changing. I invite you to "march inn" to our lives. My hope is that you will catch glimpses of the real world. You will see our creations. You will see our chaos. You will see our affection. You will also see our frustrations, fears, and disappointments. Enjoy your march!

Stunned

Another picture that is worth a thousand words...but I will have to add a few.She did this all by herself ~ without even being asked. Didn't she do a good job? I was overcome with pride as I walked in and saw what she was capable of accomplishing when she put her mind to it. There were no complaints, no ugliness, no threats, no words ~ she just got it. She knew what I expected and did it. This picture was taken yesterday. She did it again today! Will it happen tomorrow ~ we'll see and I won't even be disappointed if it doesn't. I am grateful for small steps towards independence. That is my goal - oh yeah and to enjoy the process.

I must add another picture for those who have been asking to see the children's room.

The other side looks the same but with Stephen in blue and his "stuff" on the shelf.

By the way yesterday was a joyful day in spite of the majority of my house being awake and up before 5 a.m.!
