March Inn

Why"March Inn?" March Inn was the name of that magic place where I spent my summers growing up. I have alluded to this place before, and I probably will again. March Inn is no longer standing. The waters of Katrina rendered it unlivable so my children will never know that "March Inn." That makes me sad. In fact it brings me to tears whenever I think about it. I want my children to have their own "March Inn," and I want to capture our lives as they are growing and changing. I invite you to "march inn" to our lives. My hope is that you will catch glimpses of the real world. You will see our creations. You will see our chaos. You will see our affection. You will also see our frustrations, fears, and disappointments. Enjoy your march!

Dog Days

This little boy is growing up!  I have been really impressed by his words and actions over the last month.  4K suits him!  He has great teachers who are kind, loving, and have an enormous amount of experience.  Sure, he still whines and is capable of pitching a gargantuan fit, however he is more likely to say "yes, mam" and go do it.  As he grows in stature, he is growing in responsibility.  That makes this mama smile!
My children have all had Ms. Nan for 4K, and she does a lot of great things.  Her class is fun and developmental, yet she gets those children ready for kindergarten.  More for this mama to smile about!  One of the fun things she does is hide Clifford's bone each day.  Whoever finds the bone gets to take Clifford home and write about his adventures.
Over the years, Clifford has visited our house often.  I can recall many of the adventures that our family has experienced with him.
Nothing that I'm posting these days is real time.  I just can't get it done.  So about two weeks ago, Clifford made his first trip home with Walker.
He helped us make dog bones for a snack.  A spur of the moment and fun happy memory with my baby boy.
This is just one of the many reasons that I feel blessed to be a stay at home mama.
