March Inn

Why"March Inn?" March Inn was the name of that magic place where I spent my summers growing up. I have alluded to this place before, and I probably will again. March Inn is no longer standing. The waters of Katrina rendered it unlivable so my children will never know that "March Inn." That makes me sad. In fact it brings me to tears whenever I think about it. I want my children to have their own "March Inn," and I want to capture our lives as they are growing and changing. I invite you to "march inn" to our lives. My hope is that you will catch glimpses of the real world. You will see our creations. You will see our chaos. You will see our affection. You will also see our frustrations, fears, and disappointments. Enjoy your march!

"Slowly, Slowly, Says the Sloth"

Do you know this book? If not check it out at your local library. It is by Eric Carle and has colorful illustrations and some great vocabulary.

However, I'm not here today to talk about children's literature though it is one of my favorite topics. I am here instead to give a construction update.

Slowly, slowly we are making progress...

The stone masons are back and committed to being complete for our fast approaching move-in date!

The cabinets are going in and I'm not sure which room I am more excited about!

The Laundry Room/Sewing Room/Office

{a.k.a. "command central"}

The Mudroom {with lockers for each child}

The Kitchen

Honestly, I think I am just excited about the ample storage to be able to put all of our stuff away whether it belong in the kitchen, mudroom, or command central.

Tile is being set in the master bathroom!

And now for my newest concern ~

Will this backyard ever look like a yard again?
